‘winter coat’ -2012, Niagara Falls, Canada. Winter, the harsh season it is in many countries, tests a different aspect of natures resilience, survival and endurance. Like us humans interacting with each other, we all stand our own tests. And like the seasons, sometimes we don’t notice that we get buried, covered, coated, hidden and altered. And like the change of the seasons, we eventually shed what was burying, covering, coating or altering our human self. In the end, maybe we come out of this sudden change the way we once were, or maybe once we emerge again we find that some things may have changed. Each day we wake is a step closer to our own end, and despite the sometimes harsh consequences of the seasons we endure, if only we could see through those layers and just see that what we once saw really still is present after all. I still see it.

‘Adventure Time’-2012, New York. I recently bought a special ‘Enchiridion’ edition of Adventure Time 3DS, for my girlfriend. Such a fun game, BUT there are many details that were left out in the game play. The awesome fist-bump that Finn and Jake do in the cartoon’s opening song wasn’t in the game, even though there was a part in the game play where Finn says the “What time is it? Adventure Time” line.
‘tourists’-2012, New York. I was walking near the Plaza Hotel in New York, and noticed this man photographing his wife. I found his stance pretty interesting and hesitated for quite a while to take a quick photo. I eventually snapped a quick shot just before they walked away and had no time to get my exposure right, but this is the only shot I got and through the magic of photoshop I tried to clean it up a bit.
‘Old cake man’-2012, New York. I spotted a dapper gentleman with a cake in Grand Central Station. As strange as I thought this was it turned out that he was merely portraying a character in a very low budget film scene.
